Volunteer Coaches
A volunteer youth sports coach has the opportunity to be a positive role model and engage kids of all ages in athletic activity. YMCA youth sports are 4-week or 6-week programs, typically requiring a 1.5 hour commitment, 1-2 days per week.
Volunteer coaches will be provided with:
- Training
- Practice plans
- Coaching manual
- Organized schedule of games
- The opportunity to choose the day and time of your weekly practice*
Volunteer coaches are required to complete the following certifications, paid for by the YMCA:
- Mandated Reporting Duty to Report
- Concussion Coaches Version
We are currently looking for volunteer coaches for our Micro and Rec programs. Sports include basketball, soccer, t-ball, flag football, kickball, volleyball, and more. We do all the heavy lifting, so you can have a rewarding coaching experience.
