Position Summary: 

This position will collaborate directly with the Executive and Development teams to provide administrative support to the leadership team, fundraising campaigns, volunteer/staff meetings, scheduling and building relationships with volunteers, donors and team members.

Principal Activities

  1. Administrative support for leadership team, employee and volunteer meetings.
  2. Primary contact for fundraising: record keeping, reporting, prospecting, acknowledgement systems, invoicing, meetings and recognition events.
  3. Models our YMCA values through fun, positive relationships with staff, members, volunteers and donors to enrich their Y experience.
  4. Incorporates “Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility” into all aspects of the position, to ensure Y values are integrated into our culture and programs.
  5. Speaks enthusiastically on behalf of the Y at given opportunities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Takes initiative and has strong critical thinking skills.
  2. Excellent communication skills, meticulous, organized, a person who will find solutions.
  3. Work as a collaborator supporting multiple team members and volunteers.
  4. Possesses strong project management skills.
  5. Ability to work accurately while simultaneously managing multiple priorities.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  7. Ability to meet deadlines.
  8. Work with minimal direction and supervision.
  9. Has a gift to build relationships and a passion to serve others. The ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people is essential to thrive and succeed in this position.
  10. Proficiencies in Excel, Word, Power Point, and other required software programs.  Will become proficient in Daxko systems.
  11. Preferred 2 or 4-year degree.  Not required.
  12. CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within 60 days of employment.
  13. Ability to perform light physical activity lifting up to 50 lbs.

SALARY:  Compensation based on experience.   $19 – $25
