Training Program


New to running?  This is the program for you!  Designed to get brand new runners in shape for a 5k in six weeks.  A YMCA coach will help you build your endurance through walking and jogging, as well as learn a few strength and cross training techniques so you’ll be able to run 3.1 miles with no worries!  A workout calendar will be provided for you, along with twice weekly meetings as a team to get you ready for the Wishbone 5K on Thanksgiving Day!!!

Mondays & Wednesdays, October 16th – November 22nd
$35 for Y Members  | $55 for Non-Members
